The adapter is made of a strong aluminum alloy with nylon bearings to provide a long service life.
Two bolts with nylon lock nuts hold the channel bracket securely to the chair leg. The arm which supports the scoreboard swings through a 90 degree arc. When positioned outward from the chair the view of the umpire is unobstructed and the gallery can see at a glance "who is playing and the score of the match ". When the game is completed the arm is moved forward and the score markers positioned to the new score. Now the gallery at the ends of the court can clearly see the score of the match and when time is called the umpire returns the scoreboard to the outboard position.
